Why Learning Ally

When you become a Learning Ally member, you’ll get to use our library of audiobooks as well as take advantage of valuable resources like our member-exclusive webinars that help give you information and strategies for succeeding in school even when reading is a challenge.

Our assistance program empowers everyone to reach their potential.

Learning Ally is a nonprofit organization that relies on membership fees to support its operations. We realize that sometimes these fees present a financial burden for some families and students, and we are here to help. We are a mission-driven organization and believe no one should be excluded from reaching his or her fullest potential.

If you would like to be considered for a fee waiver, please complete the assistance program application. We will let you know if you qualify via email within 2 business days of submission.

Learning Ally’s audiobooks are reserved for those with documented print disabilities.

The use of our audiobooks is restricted to those who have a demonstrated learning disability, visual impairment, or physical disability that makes it difficult to read using traditional print.

Why Audiobooks

As a Learning Ally member, you can access our library of over 80,000 audiobooks. For dyslexics and others that struggle with reading, audiobooks are an invaluable tool to keep up with the heavy reading loads often required in school.

Our library includes the world’s largest collection of audio textbooks, so we’re sure to have titles you need for school. In addition, we have a wide selection of popular fiction and nonfiction titles that you can sample as well.

Many of our titles are now in VOICEtext, offering highlighted text that accompanies the audiobook!

Note: Use of audiobooks requires certification of learning disabilities, vision impairment, or physical disabilities that impede the ability to process standard print.

Our assistance program empowers everyone to reach their potential.
