Position: Senior Product Developer

Purpose of the Position: Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO's primary responsibility is to formulate a compelling brand identity, and deliver messages that resonate with all Learning Ally K-12 constituents from presale to engaging end users to optimize usage. Generate revenue by increasing sales and philanthropic contributions using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations.

Primary Position Objectives

  • Overarching Brand Positioning, Equity and Value Proposition: By “listening” to the market and through direct research, lead overarching brand positioning and manage corporate equity of Learning Ally and its products and services by building a strong brand and agency team to ensure marketing efforts are not only aligned across the organization but resonating with different stakeholders to drive increased utilization and sales for Learning Ally’s solutions
  • Commercial Leadership: Establish a high performance multi-functional team that owns commercial development and execution. Being a strong Brand equity advocate and ensuring all multifunctional players understand their role in driving the brand in an ongoing cohesive and consistent effort
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Ensure customer and consumer voices are clearly understood to help shape product development and marketing programs and initiatives and determine optimal allocation of resources and marketing media mix resulting in strongest ROI
  • User Engagement: Partner with the product development and delivery teams to ensure that highly engaging and researched-based content is used throughout the solution life cycle that optimizes utilization of Learning Ally’s solutions
  • Operations: Build an actionable and achievable marketing plan that can be implemented by the Marketing Department and others as needed that delivers high quality leads to all areas of Learning Ally’s businesses to deliver against the operating plan. And deliver clear and concise messaging that maximizes renewal rates in line with the operating plan

Desired Skills and Experience

Bachelors degree and MBA preferred

15+ years of relevant experience in education, service and/or high tech industry

Demonstrated track record of success in leading, developing, prioritizing, and managing integrated, multi-channel programs in both a DTC and BTB environment

Proven track record of leading and inspiring teams

Have lead and utilized consumer research to deliver strong customer and consumer insight and ability to ensure efforts are aligned with their attitudes, needs and beliefs

Strong analytical skills to determine best allocation of resources resulting in highest ROI

Good understanding of complex sales processes and previous experience partnering with sales teams to drive revenue

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to work well with other team members, customers and sales

Strong leadership and collaboration skills with a proven ability to drive cross-functional
