In this free one-hour webinar, leading dyslexia expert Susan Barton will take teachers and parents into the vital topic of progress monitoring for students with dyslexia.

She’ll explain:

The various reading skills that each of the typical progress monitoring tools check. Which reading skills SHOULD be checked in students with dyslexia (known or suspected) and how to convert test scores into percentiles – to see if real growth is being made.

Participants will come away with a better understanding of how academic performance can be assessed for students with dyslexia, how to quantify improvement and how to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction.

Susan Barton, an internationally recognized expert in dyslexia, is the founder of Bright Solutions for Dyslexia, Inc.  She is the developer of the Barton Reading and Spelling System - an Orton-Gillingham influenced system designed specifically for parents, homeschool parents, and volunteer tutors in literacy programs. The Barton System is easy to learn and contains enough support for parents and volunteer tutors, yet is complete enough for professional tutors as well as reading and resource specialists.
