Sal Campbell from Englewood Cliffs, NJ is a freshman pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from The College of New Jersey. He plays soccer for the Arsenal Soccer Club and has overcome the challenges of dyslexia and Crohn’s disease. Sal has worked as an intern at Volvo North America and hopes to eventually patent a design that improves the lives of people from around the world. Sal utilized Learning Ally’s extensive library of literature and an Orton-Gillingham based reading program at the Tenafly Learning Center. He would download Learning Ally’s materials and listen (and read along) while on the bus, in the car, or anywhere in the house that was comfortable for him. It was a genuine lifesaver. Sal strives to be a role model for other students by showing them that there are many different ways to achieve a given goal. He attributes much of his success in academics to the accessibility of the Learning Ally resources.
