Jan McDavitt joined Learning Ally as Vice President of Philanthropy in January 2015. Jan is responsible for the growth of the philanthropic program and in helping to develop a pipeline of leadership-level donors in key regions around the country. In that capacity she leads a team of professionals in the areas of direct mail, corporations and foundations, prospect research and donor data management, and planned giving.

Prior to joining Learning Ally, Jan was the Chief Development Officer of New York City-based CancerCare, where she was responsible for all aspects of revenue generation, the development and execution of a strategic resource development plan, and the supervision of the overall development department. She has also served in key development leadership roles at a number of national non-profit organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Girl Scouts of the USA, Liberty Science Center, NJ Public Television and Radio, and American Heart Association. Jan received her B.A. degree in Journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
