Connie Murphy is a fundraising professional with 20-plus years of experience with non-profit organizations at the national and local level. Her span of experience includes work in the healthcare, advocacy and education fields. She has worked with nationally recognized health organizations such as the American Lung Association and the American Diabetes Association as well as with regional hospital systems and educational institutions. Connie joined Learning Ally in July 2011.
Previously, Connie was Assistant Vice President for Advancement for Ursinus College, where she was responsible for all areas of fundraising and led an effort to increase annual unrestricted giving by 40 percent over the prior year. Prior to Ursinus, Connie was the Assistant Vice President for Leadership Gifts and Development Outreach at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Her leadership paved the way for a successful fundraising effort to open a Women’s Cancer Center at Fox Chase as well as secure multi-million dollar funding in support of an innovative team-based research program. While serving as executive director of development at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, Connie spearheaded a project raising $10 million to support the creation and endowment for the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Conference Center for Medical Education, a facility servicing the entire health system for the needs of training physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals. As chief development officer for Learning Ally, Connie is responsible for raising the annual fundraising goal for the organization through individual, foundation and corporate support as well as deferred gifts through individual estate planning. She works with a team of professionals at Learning Ally headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey and throughout the country.
