System requirements
After downloading, in order to play Learning Ally Downloadable DAISY books you will need:
- A DAISY player (software or hardware) that supports Learning Ally books and is authorized to play them
- A computer with a USB port (for flash memory DAISY players)
Playing Downloadable DAISY books on your computer
If you have a software DAISY player, you can read your books after download right on your computer. When opening books, navigate to the My Documents\RFBD Media Files folder on Windows systems, or to your home directory on Mac systems. Books are stored in folders by Learning Ally product number. Learning Ally Downloadable DAISY books have product numbers that begin with “DL-“. The folder for each book contains all the necessary files. After the download is complete, the entire book is contained in a single subfolder. Navigate inside this folder to open the book.
Playing Downloadable DAISY books on your flash memory DAISY player
If you have a DAISY player that uses flash memory storage for books, you can just transfer the files from your computer to the player following the manufacturer's instructions.
