Angelica Harris

Prior to high school, Angelica would always struggle with reading. She then found out in the 9th grade that she was dyslexic. Beginning in 10th grade, Angelica began using Learning Ally's audiobooks, and her reading comprehension improved.

Currently, Angelica is a freshman majoring in Finance and minoring in Computer Science in the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. At WashU, Angelica plays on the women’s varsity golf team. Angelica reached the ACE Level certification in The First Tee organization, which is the highest benchmark for participants, and Angelica plans on continuing to be a volunteer in the organization. Angelica also plans on continuing to fund-raise for her organization Angelica’s Angels, because Angelica would like to give a $1000 scholarship over the summer. Her other community work includes volunteering at childcare centers in New Orleans. Angelica tutors students on standardized tests and has helped students increase their ACT score by three to seven points. Her future aspirations are to graduate from WashU, work for a Fortune 500 company, and continue to stay heavily involved in her community.
