New Princeton Studio Readies 2012 Opening

Volunteer, Karen Pomnitz and Learning Ally staff members, Tony Gruenewald and Emily Sherman can’t wait for the new Princeton studio!Construction on Learning Ally’s new Princeton studio is speeding towards completion, and as new walls are being put up and carpet is laid down, staff and volunteers are eager to cut the ribbon for the grand opening.

Firmenich Employees Help Build New Facility

10/14/2011

On Thursday, September 22, a group of employees from the Firmenich facility in Plainsboro, New Jersey graciously spent their company-wide “Community Service Day” with Learning Ally staff and volunteers in the Princeton studio. The day was spent constructing chairs, desks and bookcases to be used in the new recording facility expected to be open for full production in late fall. Studio staff is looking forward to meeting a similar group from Novartis when they visit in October.

Volunteer Text Editor Tested at New Studio Location

Dayne and Julian (two Learning Ally high school interns) have mastered the new program!If the adage, “Good things come to those who wait,” is true, the volunteers and staff of the Princeton studio will turn out a lot of fantastic recordings in their new facilities in the national headquarters building opening sometime in the fall. The studio was moved from its old location in a local seminary and has been operating in a smaller, temporary space since April. Both volunteers and staff are chomping at the bit to be back at full capacity to better serve Learning Ally’s members.
