This powerful video essay was shared by Nick, a young man who has dyslexia. It challenges our beliefs on progression in school, and what that may look like for individual students.
Nick takes us through two scenarios
- first how his traditional school measures progression through the use of testing against his peers. Then, half way through, we gain insight into the completely different way Nick's tutor measures progression.
Nick says "the whole goal [is to] to bring awareness to each individual student, and that they are seen and recognized for who they are and the genius they bring to world in their specific set of values."
