You’re invited to a day of discussion in celebration of our National Achievement Awards
“The College Success Program”
Saturday, April 18, 2015
11:30 am – 1:00 pm
901 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20001
What unique challenges does college pose for students who are blind or visually impaired? Join us in a discussion with a remarkable panel of experts as we explore the resources college students need to thrive.
During this event, we will share findings from Learning Ally's groundbreaking ethnographic research project on a range of topics including advocacy, partnering with support organizations, collaborating with instructors, and staying socially connected. We'll also spotlight the launch of Learning Ally's College Success Program, a unique mentoring initiative rolling out to support students who are blind or visually impaired as they navigate the college journey.
Special guests include past winners of our National Achievement Awards who are blind or visually impaired and have succeeded in college and beyond. Don't miss the chance to join this conversation! There is no cost to attend this event.
