NASA Offers Summer Internships for Students with Disabilities

Categories: Blind or Visually Impaired, Learning Disabilities

Here at Learning Ally, making science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) reading materials accessible is a top priority. For that reason we're excited that our friends at NASA are once again offering internship opportunities for students with disabilities. We fully support NASA's goal of increasing the presence of people with disabilities in its national workforce. A summer internship with NASA is a fantastic opportunity for students in the STEM fields to gain valuable work experience. There are dozens of different intern programs covering a wide range of subjects, offered to high school students, rising college freshmen, and all the way up through doctoral students. Students can apply now through Friday, March 15, 2013, although we suggest applying early as the best opportunities are likely to be filled quickly. You can register for an account and look for internships anytime at the One Stop Shopping Initiative (OSSI): NASA Internships, Fellowships, and Scholarships (NIFS). You can also find the full list of requirements for eligibility and details of the program at the OSSI homepage. Best of luck to all who apply!
